New Year Messages

Kernowyouth asked about 20 church and youth leaders across the county to send you a short New Year's Message. Here's what they said:

Allow God to equip & empower you to fulfil your destiny. The journey we travel will be challenging- but God’s got everything you need for success. That’s his plan for you –to be successful. The key – just stay close to God & enjoy the adventure!

Be brave & courageous – live life to the full!
I heard this saying the other day, “The brave may not live forever – but the cautious do not live at all.” You decide what kind of year you will have – the future is in your hands.

None of us know what lies ahead in a New Year. We don't know what an hour let alone a day will bring. It may be an earth shattering natural disaster, it may be a terrorist's bomb. It may be a joyful meeting or a happy occasion. It may be an expression of love. Sometimes stepping into the future can be scary. It is stepping into the unknown. But God is with us. Read these words on the postcard on the right from King George VI broadcast in 1940 when Britain faced the dark days of being the only country fighting the tyranny of Nazi Germany and know that for 2005 you too can put your hand in the hand of God.
