The Big Lunch
WHAT IS IT? • The Big Lunch is a brand new lunchtime club that is open to all students from Year 7 to Year 13. • The Big Lunch is usually held on a Friday in H5 although its range of activities take it to various locations around College. • The Big Lunch is designed to allow those students who wish to explore what Christianity is all about to do so in a friendly and safe environment that encourages them to ask questions and think the issues through for themselves.
• The Big Lunch is designed to allow those students who are Christians to share their faith with one another. • The Big Lunch contributes to the spiritual life of the College which seeks to cater for the whole student. • The Big Lunch is run on a turn up if you want to basis with no charge for its lunchtime activities. • The Big Lunch provides a range of trips during evenings and weekends that extend the lunchtime club making it one of the most varied and active clubs at the College. There is also the opportunity to attend the CCYC Summer Camp which is held at the College.
THIS TERM Coming up this term on a Wednesday lunchtime will be a quiz, a charity fundraiser, the Lyric Game, a range of topics with intriguing titles (such as “One Potato or Two” and “Four Wise Men”), a couple of guest speakers and a Christmas Party.
TRIPS The ‘Big Lunch Out’ events include going ice skating & swimming at Plymouth Pavilions, going 10 pin bowling & to a concert by “The Gentlemen” at the CCYC Reunion in Truro. Details of these trips & the necessary consent forms are only given out at the Big Lunch.
