Interested in getting some training in worship ministry?
Well, I'd like to share some thoughts with you about a course that offers this sort of training, equipping young people with the skills to use in the church and the community, youth groups and much, much more! My name is Lara and I am currently studying at 'Nexus', which is a Christian music college in Coventry.
The course is full time, offering training for those interested in playing bass, guitar, drums, vocals or keys for the glory of God. I am studying the vocals course which covers teaching in theory, ensemble, rhythm,
technique etc, which is learnt for every instrument. There is also a lot of time for live playing workshops of both worship and secular songs. Time is taken into looking into the uses of this worship training, for example
worship leading skills, differing worship environments, preparing for assemblies, church services, gigs etc.
I have found this year an incredible encouragement. I am growing in my relationship with God daily |
As well as learning more about your instrument and worship, you will learn even more in the Bible classes, covering the Bible in one year and having teaching on subjects such as the attributes of God,
spiritual gifts, the purpose of worship and lots more. The school also sends out students on a mission trip in the summer of every year, both in the uk and abroad, as well as recording an album of the students
original material. I have found this year an incredible encouragement. I am growing in my relationship with God daily, slowly developing my prayer life, as well as getting a fresh insight into the amazing power and
will of God that he uses in the lives of his people.
