I found Jesus in a prison cell

by Andy Bryant

I became a Christian 4 years ago when I found myself lonely and desperate in a prison cell serving a 4 years sentence.

I had never really given God a chance in my life up to that point

I couldn’t imagine ever seeing a happy day.

as I was either ignorant, too embarrassed or cared too much about what other people think to go for it with Him.

I have struggled a lot to come to the place I stand as a person today as my background is not favourable towards me feeling

I would never have guessed just how much God would bless me.

good about myself, let alone God being pleased with me. I have received a lot of love, encouragement and support from my friends and church fellowships over the years and looking back I would never have guessed just how much God would bless me. He has brought me a long way from being that chap in prison who couldn’t imagine ever seeing a happy day. All I can say is that something has happened to me and I have found favour in God’s sight through Jesus and His death on the cross 2000 years ago. And I look forward to each day knowing that God is changing me further still.
